Tweety
What can I do with an defective Lynx game card, or can it be repaired, or can someone re-use it for own games.
+LS650
I imagine that they can occasionally be defective, but Lynx carts tend to be pretty tough and reliable. Do other carts work okay in your Lynx? Most likely the cart is okay, but the pinouts have a thin layer of oxidation that's preventing the Lynx from reading the ROM properly. Try cleaning the contacts on the cart. One thing I've read that works well is an ordinary pink pencil eraser. I normally use a Q-tip type cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and that works well. Maybe others can other more suggestions?
Lynxman
If it is a original Atari-Cart you can only try to clean the connectors. If the Game is dead you can do nothing. If it is a Game on a PWB Board, then it is possible to burn a new Eprom or try to clear Eprom and burn again. Sometimes a Bit (or more) toggle if the Eprom was not burn 100% as recommended in the databook.
