Lauren Tyler
I recently got the art files for Turbo to display the score, gearshift, etc. But I can't figure out which folder to put them in, or if I need to separate them to separate folders? Rybags
There should be an "artwork" folder in your MAME folder. If the art files for a game are in a Zip file, just put the Zip file in the artwork directory. If they're in a directory, just copy that directory into the artwork folder. Double check that MAME is looking for artwork via Options->Directories. Enable display of artwork in Options->Default Game Options/Miscellaneous. Lauren Tyler
I put both the .zip file and the art files in my Artwork folder, but it's still not working. Does it not work for WolfMAME?
+HatNJ
Do the art file names match the rom name (not counting the extension zip, etc)?
Lauren Tyler
Match? You mean as in the individual ROM files or just the general ROM name (in this case turbo?) Either way, how would I rename them if necessary?
+HatNJ
Lets say your file is for Zaxxon and you have the rom in the roms dir and you now have the artwork the name I believe has to be the same if the Rom is say Zaxxon1.zip then the artwork file must be the same Zaxxon1.zip just using an example
Lauren Tyler
OK, so going along with this, we have Turbo.zip as the ROM, does that mean I should have the artwork in a file called Turbo.zip as well? Also, should I make a subdirectory called Turbo in the artwork folder? OK, here's an example: ROMs are located in the ROM subdirectory. This is the directory layout for Turbo: C:\MAME32\ROM\Turbo and here's the layout for the artwork: C:\MAME32\ARTWORK\Turbo.zip (the .zip file with all the artwork) I'm wondering if I need to keep the .zip file of the ROMs as well?? Lauren Tyler
OK, does WolfMAME even support artwork?
