PackratVG
I was wondering if anyone knows the trick to removing the piece of plastic inside the proline joystick that pushes down the contacts? This plastic peice broke in one of my joysticks. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jarett
+-^CrossBow^-
Your gonna love this... You have to pull....yeap..pull. The black handle and the white plastic are snapped together almost like the 5200 sticks were. I have to hold the metal shaft of the joystick with a pair of pliers and then pull upward on the Joystick knob to seperate them. Yes, I have punched myself in the chin more than once doing this... Have fun...
ubersaurus
My proline sticks are just worn down from use, so they aren't as good as they once were. If anyone knows how to repair that problem, feel free to tell me ;p

Atari 7800.com
I had to do this 50 times last weekend... ouch! There really is no trick to the proline controller disassembly. Here are a few easy steps to get the controller appart: 1.) Unscrew the Pro-Line Joystick and pull out the buttons w/ springs. 2.) Get a pair of plyers or grips and get ahold of the metal joystick shaft which is exposed when the two half-shells of the joystick are seperated, and hold TIGHT. 3.) Grab ahold of the joystick knob with your hand, or a pair of rubber grips, and TWIST HARD 4.) Twist back and forth, pulling the knob off of the metal shaft. 5.) Once the knob is off, you can easily slide the shaft out of the joystick, and take off the white spider at the base of the shaft. I hope this helps. I have TONS of joystick parts if you need anything extra in your work. Good luck to all! Justin J.
