Viking Child question

I got to the end of the first level, but it didn't let me go to the next level. I got to the right edge of the screen but nothing happened. Why not?

If you're where I think you are, then you traveled all the way to the right,

and there's a door just to the left of you. If you go directly here, you can

not pass the level. You'll need to travel back left a ways, and jump into a

water well. Inside there, you'll battle the level boss, ultimately getting a

key that will allow you to travel to the next level from where you are now.

Thank you. I was just going along like Switchblade II until I couldn't move any more. It should be more clear in the game that that's what you're supposed to do.
