Adrian M
Well, that's not entirely true. If you want one of the MAJORLY slow single speed clamshell models, you CAN get them for $200 - $400. www.playthegames.com had one recently for $249 with two games, used. The problem is the loading times. I'd go for the double-speed CD-Z models, however, I've heard rumors that they break very easily.
timster
Really! I didn't know there were different speeds for the Neo Geo's?? My cousin had one of the faster ones i guess then cause he bought it for about $800AUS from the US and he said it works quite well but he spilt coffee or something on it and it shorted out
Cassidy Nolen
Dude, Go for the cart system if you are a player. That load time is a killer on the single speed, and the carts look way cool in your media rack. I got my Gold system with memory card for around 400. They are out there, good luck, Cassidy

skye79
Nice score on the neo geo cd. So, what did you end up getting, the brutally slow 1 speed or the 2x? I remember an old Gamefan, where they previewed the neogeocd 1x speed and said it was almost laughably slow. I mean, it took something like a minute to load between rounds of 2d fighters like Fatal Fury. Now that's funny.
