nashnooga
What do you think the WORST NES game is? I have always thought that Where's Waldo is the E.T. of the NES.
StanJr
LJN's X-men or Spider-man, both games are COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE .
liquid_sky
any ljn game.. along with any american sammy game
RangerG
I haven't played too many NES games, but I remember back in the NES heyday buying Jaws for my younger brother as a birthday present. He played it about an hour and I tried for about an hour and we never played it again (it was super boring)!
AtariKen64
deadly towers or super pitfall, to me are really bad, the worst would action 52. but its great for a laugh!
NE146
I vote for Total Recall. Now that game is BAAAD
IceCold
I feel bad now, I just bought Deadly Towers from a thrift store, after you said its' worst game ever
NE146
Don't worry.. in the world of 'collecting' (which the NES has pretty much finally arrived at) you should be getting everything anyway, the good and the bad.
sdstuff64
Just about any game by Color Dreams, like Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu.Ahhhhh bad stuff.
StanJr
As for Deadly Towers, I just got that in a BIG lot of NES games last week and man does it suck. Its like it wants to be an RPG, but it wants to be and adventure game, but manages to suck in EVERY capacity along the way. Yick. Still its playable, unlike the ljn stuff
nashnooga
Oh, I forgot Mario Is Missing I remeber my mom bought it for me for christmas, and my dad did too, I guess they forgot to tell eachother, so instead of having two copies of this game, we returned one and I got that Ren and Stimpy game. TheSmirk
...super pitfall, to me are really bad... Oh god yes, you nailed that one on the head! That game is actually mentioned in Canto 6 of Dante's Inferno if memory serves me correctly. I always thought Urban Champion was one of the early forefathers of stink on the NES.... Osbo
1943... man that game sucks...
StanJr
Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde is playable, but blows major goats. The whole point of the game is to avoid getting pissed off, but that's all that happens to ME when I play it! Then again I paid a total of 89 cents for it, so what do I care? moycon
I'll second Total Recall... Has anyone played that dreck?? Should be called Total Fecal Haha I'm funny hu? *chirp, chirp* *sigh*
z28in82
The Worst NES game Well 2 have already been brought up Jaws and Total Recall, but my absolute worst games had to be Friday the 13th or Robocop 2 take your pick
StanJr
Aw come on, dude! I LOVE Friday the 13th! That game is hard! Jason ALWAYS whacks all of my teenagers before I can save the kids! I gotta stand up for that game.
utamav91
I was really disappointed with Ikari Warriors, especially after playing the 7800 version. A rare occurrence where 7800 > NES. Similarly, Centipede was awful for NES, and 7800 rocked.
Inky
I've played some dogs on the NES, but the worst one was SNK's Athena. A little girl with a lub killing things. I guess it would be fun if you could actually SEE what you were doing despite the horrid graphics.. As an aside, I actually LIKED SUper Pitfall... Neoc56
AtariKen64 wrote .....super pitfall, to me are really bad Pitfall rules, and as for the worst game. It would have to be jaws.
Jeffy Arensmeyer
Even though I agree with most every game listed here, there were still some that were even worse. At least some of the games listed here had some type of longevity of game play. The next time you want a lack-luster, slow-paced, qucikly repeating game with no end, pop in Mag Max. That was one of the few games that I bought, opened, played, then promptly took back to Wal Mart. ò¿ó
Lost Monkey
I am really surprised to see Super Pitfall showing up in a thread like this... Back when it was released, the gamepay of Super Pitfall was pretty cool and the hidden symbols and other stuff really added to the mystery... I'll admit that the game was very hard... with enemies reappearing left and right and some frustrating jumps, but with the use of a trusty Game Genie, you could make a valiant effort of it... I find that the worst games I've played on the NES have one thing in common: Wisdom Tree. Rod: "But Dad, videogames make baby Jesus cry!" Ned: "Only the fun ones, son, only the fun ones."
