you are right...when i saw the movie i wanted to play the game. did you download the game on your pc...it plays really great. hours of fun

Another game that actually did come out much later was Space Lords by Ed Logg of Asteroids fame. I used to love that game but you never see it anymore. It was a huge double cabinet. It also had very impressive 3D for the time.

This was put together by a good friend of mine. It's not exactly what the game in the movie was, but I don't think the game in the movie was even complete. This is more of as artist's conception if you will. The cabinet it is in was used for the making of documentary and is as close to the screen used one as anybody will ever get. Sadly, the original was destroyed.

Is there a video of Space Lords' gameplay anywhere? I checked youtube and didn't find anything and I have never seen this game in action. It's been a really long time since there was a space game in arcades.
