tjb
I recently acquired a Megafile 44 and was wondering if I could use the same formatting/driver software that is used with the other drives in the Megafile series with it? For that matter, does anyone have an image of the diskette that shipped with the Megafile 44? Thanks in advance! tjb
callaghan
this is just asumption but i think you use a hard drive formatter like adhi..? ahdi?? or icd disk utilities ,,,then as for the disk in drive ,it is a "boot disk" made by the hard drive formatter which holds the boot configuation ,so once you repower up each time it reads the disk in drive and configures system, i know that is what my hhd does from disk a foe external st drive. callaghan

I will try to remember and check to see if they were any differerent than the other Megafile disks but I think they were all just HDX 3 It is a standard 50 pin SCSI internal connection. I have original manuals and disks for most of the Atari stuff.
lp060
http://www.atari.org/services/systemdisks.php One of these disks should contain the HDX utilities.
