Who here in Atari Age has received the 7800 adapter from 8bit-domain?

I think I am not the only one here who wants to know this. Alot of people including my self are speculating on whether this device is a true working modification. So if anyone has got this then please show a video of it working. I take this all back if this device is true.

I've ordered more than 75 boards from 8bitdomain, and they all worked great, 2600 4, 2600 6, 5200, and 7800.

Delivery is slow, sometimes 4-8 weeks. As a result, there are a lot of AA threads bashing 8bit for this reason.

OSG stocks the boards for OSG installs, so the delivery delay does not usually effect OSG installation service customers.

I'm the sucker who prepaid the full $150 and I've got nothing to show for it... :x

Sorry man! Did you get your money back?

I wouldn't be so pissed if I did! $150 down the f*%king toilet! :x

I had forgotten about this adapter. Didn't you have to send in a 7800 so he could have the materials to make the adapter?

A 7800 adapter for the 5200...This i've got to see (anyone got any piccies)

Seeming as though the 5200 is an R.E. (tweeked) version of the A8, anyone fancy doing a 7800 adapter for the A8 or even better since there were more 52xx games then 78xx then how's about a 5200 adapter for the A8

ATARI 7800 PROSYSTEM

ADAPTER

UPGRADES THE ATARI 5200 TO PLAY ALL

7800 PROSYSTEM AND 2600 CARTRIDGES

Compatible with all 7800

Prosystem, 2600 and Atari home

computer accessories

At least that’s what the Atari catalog ads said.

I put off buying the cx-55 adapter and a 7800 because the Atari dealer where I would get my controllers routinely fixed said that they were told by Atari that this adapter was on the way. I've been waiting 25 YEARS!!!

According to my last forum ......

This guy named Allan said that MANY people have got this device! I seriously doubt it. Check it out.

Not the 7800 adapter, the A/V modes for the 5200, 2600, 7800, intellivision, and Colecovision. And yes they do work great. I've heard of nobody who has gotten the 7800 Adapter.

Here's a literal Slam-PAM. I don't think anyone has received one of these.

http://www94.pair.com/jsoper/merged_atari.html

· They cut a hole in the top of a 5200 (bottom left),

· Slid a bottomless 7800 into said hole (top left), & then

· Wired the two boards together (top right) to then

· Incorporate every controller shone (bottom right).

What was that Styx song again? Too Much Time On My Slam-Pam?

I got an email from Mike a couple days ago and he said it's still in the works. Apparently he has been working a lot of OT at work and hasn't got the boards finished yet.

Mitch

Not to be a bitch about this but he's been working a lot of OT for 9 months? That's how long ago I paid for this item. That's a bullshit excuse at this point.

Sorry.

@slampam

Nice pictures. Maybe Curt Vendel has some more info. It looks like a 7800 patched onto a 5200 cart board.

Why Curt? John, the guy who did the mod, posted 2 posts up!

I was referring to.....

Not the hacked-up 5200 & 2700. :P
