Tony Montana
My 7800 arrived today ! Been waiting for about a week, bought from ebay. It's in great condition and works 100%. Very happy with it and i am impressed with it overall. Got some games with it and i've bought a few over the past few days. Let the collection commence ! Sorry, just had to tell someone lol Edited February 8, 2008 by Tony Montana
Dauber
Hey, no need for the "sorry" -- I think everybody here was excited to get the 7800, whether it was back in '87 or now...I know I was thrilled to pieces when mine arrived in 2006...it's a great system.... Now, make sure you get Pac-Man Collection! and Food Fight, and you're all set!

doctorclu
Man looking at that picture just reminds me of when I saw the 7800 the first time it was released at Toys R Us in like 1985. I remember thinking.. whoa. Then it poofed, and just when I thought I was imaging things, it reappeared years later. Atari from about 1987 onwards till about 1999 was really confusing for me. But the 7800 was just awesome, and those D pads... interesting.
DracIsBack
Thanks for the pic. I've never seen a 7800 box from the UK before. I'd love to see scans of the sides and back if people have them.

davyK
Nice to see all the packaging again. I got my 7800 years ago brand new and everything was pristine but the box literally fell apart. I dumped it which was a bit silly of me. A friend broke one of the mini joysticks that screw into the centre of the dpad during a game of Demon Attack and the other one went missing. They weren't that good so it was no loss.
