VMU BATTERIES

Does anyone know of a place where I can get batteries for my dreamcast vmu? it takes 2 cr2032s. I checked out longs but they only had one and it was $3.39! I only paid $6 for my vmu! Is there a cheaper place online or something?

People on ebay were selling packs of 50 but I only want 2.

that price is common, if you are lucky you will see them around $1.50

if stores are closing they usually mark batteries WAY down, I bought a dozen of those for $0.95 each!! VMU's burn through batteries very quickly if you don't use them in the controller and run the Dreamcast alot

when i bought then his free shipping special was buy 5 get free shipping

Just wondering, but you do know that you don't need the batteries to store game data, right?

 

I have three VMUs, two in use, and the batteries in those ran out very fast. I never used any of its standalone features, just as a memory unit in the controller. Once the batteries died I just pitched them and never bothered replacing them.

yes, I know about not needing batteries to save games, but i just got my dc so i wanted to try out that vmu game from sonic adventure
