atarian63
O.K. I,m bored.. What coming up or in dev for the 7800? Last year was great looking forward to more stuff!
Atari2008
I was wondering the same question. I'm glad to see that the homebrew scene has picked up, although from the current selection the only ones that match my tastes are Bonq and Pac-Man Collection. Is Frogger going to be completed this year? What other homebrew games are on the horizon? I feel the 7800 is an under-utilized platform given the library of games that were released for it, I'm curious to see what amazing things programmers could do today with the 7800, just like the cool homebrews that we've seen on the 2600. nathanallan
I hear ya, the 7800 is definitely underrated and there could be more games made. Are there any kind of online tutorials for it? Or any game language?? I'll even pick up a book and do lessons out of it if it'll help. Nathan
mimo
well there is only a handful of people doing anything for the 7800. Pac Man Plus Kenfused Gambler schmutzpuppe Possibly Gorf? I think the best hope is for a completed Froggie this year
jboypacman
A 7800 Frogger would be sweet i think also i would like to see another collection maybe a Donkey Kong with better sounds and the missing levels and you could have DK3 on it as well. A dream for sure but cool ideal i think also how about Zoo Keeper or Wizard of Wor seeing a port to the 7800 just some more dreaming i guess. Atari2008
While we're on the topic of wish lists I would like to see a completed Frogger (and maybe a Frogger 2 down the line), other arcade classics like Popeye and Zaxxon. And although any aren't coming to mind, I'd like to see more side scrolling platformers like Scrapyard Dog, not sure if any can be easily ported. +HatNJ
or maybe Adventure 3 That would be a sweet one Having a variant of Adventure on a 3 systems Original 2600, 2 was on the 5200 and having a 3rd on the 7800 seems fitting
Underball
I keep hoping for Crystal Castles with CX-22/80 Trak-Ball support, like Kenfused's Centipede TB. We already have a working 5200/8-Bit version that could be ported, so it can't be that hard. Unfortunately, I'm no good with game code. just helping port Emu's/bugtesting. godzillajoe
There must be a pile of Atari 400/800 games that could be ported right? What is the process for doing something like that? How much code needs to be changed?
Dauber
The porting of 400/800 games probably isn't all that easy -- remember, it's the 5200 that's basically a 400/800 in a console box, not the 7800...
Inky
Id like an arcadegame that hasnt been done on another console... I want Liberator. And if I knew how to program, it'd be out already
8th lutz
I remembered Gorf mentioning about Pac-man plus helping to do Zaxxon. It could be a while though. He was other projects for other systems Kenfused has mentioned in his blog that he is considering what his next project will be. His blog he is leaning towards another 7800 game. The blog said he is looking at Super Pac-man, or scrolling Platform game for the 7800. The blog also mentions his other options are Qix on the 7800 or do some more 8-bit computer to 5200 conversions. That blog entry sounded like it may take while for him to do another project. Edited March 12, 2008 by 8th lutz

atarian63
Millipede would be nice. Sounds good to me as well! I would buy a copy of it. Even at a current Wii game price, say $50 to $

And if I knew how to program, it'd be out already It exists (or did at one point anyway), we just need to find it. It would have been an Atari 8-bit game though, not 7800. FireTiger
I had a PC game called Night Stalker where you could be a WW a bat or your Vampire form and you were supposedly Dracula.... that would be the oppsite of Midnight Mutants.
ubersaurus
I'd prefer to see something not already available on the 2600(and to a lesser extent, the 5200). I mean, the thing can already play 2600 games. Why not something new? I'd prefer to see the sort of game that people wanted in the late 80s; something NES style.
