dinosaur
I hate to confess my lack of ST knowledge (I am mostly an 8bitter),but what can the LAN port on a Mega STe be used for?
Rianata
Unfortunately for nothing interesting really. It is just a serial port but with a different (Apple like) connector layout. No real specific software support for this port exists. I hate to confess my lack of ST knowledge (I am mostly an 8bitter),but what can the LAN port on a Mega STe be used for? It's really an RS422 port, aka AppleTalk. Atari never released such a driver though, that I'm aware of.

I know that,at one time, there was an AppleTalk ISA card available for the PC.Seems like an ST-PC net work would be possible. Did anyone ever try that? How about the Mega STe running Spector GRC,anything tried with that? Thanks.
jens
The port can be used instead of modem2 but not cocurrently I think.
