Mega STe LAN port

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately for nothing interesting really. It is just a serial port but with a different (Apple like) connector layout. No real specific software support for this port exists.

I hate to confess my lack of ST knowledge (I am mostly an 8bitter),but what can the LAN port on a Mega STe be used for?

It's really an RS422 port, aka AppleTalk. Atari never released such a driver though, that I'm aware of.

I know that,at one time, there was an AppleTalk ISA card available for the PC.Seems like an ST-PC net work would be possible.

Did anyone ever try that?

How about the Mega STe running Spector GRC,anything tried with that? Thanks.
