Beetle
Hi i found a link to a crossinstaller which installs IBM OS/2 Warp 3 to Atari computers which have a 68030 CPU and at least 20 MByte of RAM. The tools recompiles the executables for 68030 during install. What else can i say, it works like a charm, look: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=lFVuYOlh8v0 I'll upload the "Lirpa 1" installer tomorrow. Greetings, Beetle PS: some hours ago Atariage was not available to me so this post is probably a bit too late, depends on where you live Edited April 2, 2008 by Beetle

+Guitarman
Lirpa 1 - 1 apriL...............Hmmmmmm And the mouse cord looks conspicuously hidden as to where it's coming from ie. a IBM OS2 box hidden somewhere?? lp060
Watch carefully the left border shifts position which it should not do. My guess a VGA switch box is used at the moment he smacks the space bar. It would of been more believable if the TT had a proper VGA signal. lol
jens
Watch carefully the left border shifts position which it should not do. That might just be as the Beetle is using an Overscan TT card to push resolution. I nonetheless think this is a fake. *g*
Rybags
Didn't IBM go Open-Source with OS-2 a few years ago? So, it sounds feasible. Only problem "The tools recompiles the executables for 68030 during install". Doesn't sound too realistic to me. Compiling source is. Running an emulation layer is (although, I'd say it would be painfully slow).
joyfulcoder
Didn't IBM go Open-Source with OS-2 a few years ago? So, it sounds feasible. No. There is a community that have petitioned IBM to open source at least some parts of the OS but IBM have declined stating legal, among other, reasons. Bumzyman
I haven't used OS/2 in a loooooong time. My first IT job was at a 100% IBM shop that had OS/2 v1,2, and 3 running on PS/2 Model 80's. Edited April 4, 2008 by Bumzyman
