ROOP
CAN ANYONE HELP? I HAVE A 7800 THAT HAS DIED WHEN I TURN IT ON NOTHING NOT EVEN THE GREEN LIGHT ON THE FRONT I KNOW THAT THE PSU IS OK ANY SUGGESTIONS?
+-^CrossBow^-
Green Light? Far as I know all Atari systems have used Red LEDs for the power indicator since Red is the cheapest to buy. As for the unit being dead, I would of course suspect the power supply first. Getting a new power supply could run you almost as much as a 7800 on ebay would! If you can't find one used anywhere, then it is fairly easy to modify the power connection on a 7800 to use something more standard, like a 3.5mm barrel jack like the ones used for the Model 1 Genesis and Sega CD units. Plus the PS to a model 1 Genesis and Sega CD are about as close to the specs of the 7800 PS as your gonna get. Let us know...
Thelen
all pal atari 7800's and jaguars have a green led. I think you could take a look if the 7805 above the cart slot is working thelen

ROOP
THANKX FOR ALL YOUR REPLIES ON THE 7800. I KNOW FOR SURE THAT THE PSU IS WORKING FINE. I DON'T KNOW IF THE LED IS GREEN OR RED (I DON'T REALLY CARE EITHER) AS IT'S BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME SINCE I'VE SEEN IT WORKING I'VE FORGOTTEN! ANY MORE CLUES?
