Pixelboy
I've talked to Albert about this problem, and he told me this is the first time he's heard of it: When I access the forum (using a bookmark set directly to http://atariage.com/forums ), the front page always loads twice. And if there's a private message notification displayed at the top of the page, it doesn't get redisplayed when the refresh occurs. I'm using IE7 on Windows XP, at home. This is a fairly recent problem. It only happens to me when I'm logged on under my Pixelboy username. If I access the root page of the forum without actually being logged on, the extra refresh doesn't occur. But it happens again as soon as I log on. I did some tests at the company I work for: On a Windows 2000 PC, I get the same problem on IE6. I get no such problem on my own Linux machine under Firefox, but if I use Konqueror on the very same machine, the front forum page reloads again and again and again without end! (This problem is what prompted me to install Firefox on my Linux PC a few days ago, BTW). Has anyone else here been experiencing this problem? Albert
I tried it under Windows 2000 and IE6 and am not getting the refreshing. That's the only flavor of Windows I have access to, so I can't test IE7. ..Al

Lemmi
i have the problem with refreshing of the message board, i will visit here check some threads and then go back to my main page google (same IE window open just hitting the back button to start from google) then i go to many other sites and then later (even 10 hours later) i will reload AA messageboard page (not the main page) and it show up at the same time when i left the site 10 hours earlier untill i refresh and if i hit refresh constantly the time jumps back one hour then jumps back to the original time if i did it now it would go to 6:22 then 7:22 back and forth back and forth everytime it doesnt bother me really as ive been dealing with the first problem for aling time, but the time jump is something new to this week or more
Albert
For those having problems with the time changing, please go into the "Board Settings" here and toggle the "Auto Correct DST" feature on and off (try it both ways): http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...rCP&CODE=04 If you disable Auto Correct DST, you can manually specify whether Daylight Savings Time is in effect. This will probably fix the issue. ..Al

Pixelboy
I was able to fix the reloading problem by using http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?act=idx instead of http://atariage.com/forums to access the root forum page. Many members here may not have the reloading problem simply because the bookmark they use is the "?act=idx" version. This needs to be proven, obviously. Lemmi
well after testing my other problem out the past few days the reloading problem seems to be gone also i thought it might have had something to do with my cookies or IE, but the only thing i messed with was the auto daylight savings time thing and i use this one http://atariage.com/forums
+Random Terrain
Speaking of weird stuff, I clicked on the link for someone's blog yesterday and all I got was this: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php? I just tried it again and the same thing happened.
