Who wants a SATANDISK?

I have winXP and PC needs special controller to write to st fd format. So, I havent any DD floppy disk. A want to buy satan disk especially for use atari st without any floppy disk. I hope that there is any soft which can mount st and msa images, such as ISOs on PC, to virtual floppy drive (for example Daemon tools), and boot from it or run game/demo from it. however is satandisk still aviable? Or can I preorder one anywhere? If Can I use it such as megafile I think it is very usefulness for me.

Not correct - problem by Win XP is not floppy controller chip in PC, but floppy driver of XP. It is discussed million times, but as I see there will be always people who gets from somewhere incorrect informations.

It is at least 3-4 years since Simon Owen made frawcmd - enhanced floppy driver for Win XP ( +2K, Vista). With it, it is possible to read/write most of unprotected Atari ST floppies under Win XP. Even some protected ones.

Read little about here: http://www.ppest.org/atari/floimgd.php

Just to mention that many emulators use fdrawcmd for direct floppy access - new is latest version of Saint.

There is mine SW for mounting ST and MSA image files for Atari hard disk (card storage) users:

Wow!! Your software sounds very interesting but I cannot access the links to grab it. Is there anywhere else I can download your utilities? Cheers ...

I am very interested also, but your webpage has no contact or pricing info. Do you have a list for those intersted in purchasing from the next batch (if any)?

I don't think the person who started this thread was Jookie - and in any case whoever it was disappeared from here shortly after starting this thread and they haven't been seen in months.

Anyhow - Jookie has a new UltraSatan device in the works. Hopefully somebody will build a batch of these units for sale.

Kick ass! 1st we get Sparta DOS X 4.42, then Tempest Xtreem (for the 8-bit). Then a 2nd run of the Skunkboard for Jaguar. Now this. Man is 2009 starting out great.

I'm not saying that any of the products are not worth the asking price, but if I want to buy all of them (and I do) then I have to find over £150 to fund my addiction, and we are not even half way through January

Considering what it offers price is absolutely not high.

I'd have to second this - I just got my SatanDisk setup with my STacy,

and I just love it.

The hard drive on my STacy was dead, and its so hard to find less than

1 gig, 1/3 height SCSI drives (in good working order) these days. Best

Electronics had -1- left in stock, for $79.00, but considering the removable

aspect of the SatanDisk - it wins hands down for me.

I've already pre-ordered the UltraSatan. :)
