Atari5200 Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) This rounds game is Kangaroo. I never really played this game, so I'm not really sure what the premise is. I do own the game, just never played it more than 5 minutes and it's been a long time since I've played it. You know the rules, but in case you're new or you forgot, read the Rules of Play sticky in the 5200 HSC forum. Now lets get going and hope that darthkur isn't as good at Kangaroo as he is at Defender. Competition will end 6/22/2008. Especially when they come two at a time and start to bounce and track you. (I now have a setup for the 5200 that can play ALL rom images (Atarimax 128 in 1 cart) and a better variety of controllers. Still nothing beats the 2600 stick for me so far, but I have the wico stick and the 7800 redemtion module. Neither are something I would say I'm happy with, but let's just say thanks to this high score thread I am working to perfect my 5200 system. What can I say? Hobbies like this are fun when shared with others. ) BTW... we are supposed to play this on the default ADVANCED level right? shadow460 Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 (edited) It has little monkeys inside it! Actually, the interference you see is from my TV card. The picture my 5200 puts out is crystal clear on my C=1701 monitor. I use the TV card for screen captures, and I have no idea why it's got such a horrible reception. Bad cable, perhaps? I think I got a little better screenshot this time. BTW, the controls in Kangaroo absolutely suck. It's not the 5200 controller giving me fits--that's actually a step up from the arcade and 2600 controls. It desperately needs to have separate controls for jumping and climbing. I don't know how many times I've died because Mama kangaroo decided to climb a ladder and get hit on the tail instead of quickly jumping over an apple.
