Do they all have the same cable colors? I see they sell generic ones and Sega brand ones too. The schematic above is for the Genesis extension cables. I am just buying Genesis sticks to modify. I opened up my Genesis Arcade Power Stick and the lines have same colors going to the same button and direction. They look like the same colors inside this Sega brand controller. Shawn Posted June 24, 2008 Share Posted June 24, 2008 Dude, the reason you got nothing was cause black is your ground wire. And yes that is just a jumper. If its being smoothed out for some reason it's overkill cause it's not needed at all. Only reason it wasn't working is cause you didn't have the ground hooked up.
