chguat
Ok, you need to assume I barely know what I'm doing here because it's pretty much the truth. I have an 800XL that I've been using with an SIO2PC cable, which works fine, but I recently lucked into a 1050 disk drive and a bunch of disks which were stashed away at my parent's place even though they sold the 800XL I had as a kid years ago. So here's the thing: I want to be able to make compilation disks of my favorite games with simple boot menus. I have successfully loaded disks on my 1050 drive, so I know it works. All I need to know is how to take the games in .ATR format from my laptop, lump them together, put them in a boot menu, and write them to a disk. Is there a simple way to do this? What utilties would I need and where could I get them? Once again, assume I don't know a whole lot about what I'm doing because I'm still relatively a newb. Any help would be much appreciated. Shawn Jefferson
You can't do it with games that are an entire disk, but you can do it with games that are just a small executable program. You basically need to have a game-dos loader (process depends on the game-dos) on your destination disk and then you just copy the files you want on your compilation disk to that disk.
