Planet Bob - Playing Rygar (NES)

Hi there!

 

After a good dose of jump'n'shooting, what could be better than jump'n'slashing?

 

 

Rygar's the name of our hero here. And he's armed with a weapon that is basically a Yo-Yo with a buzz saw blade on the end of the string

 

It's seems Rygar is on a mission from god or so, at least what I figured so far is that he has to find a couple of gods and they will give him some extra gimmicks. I already found him some climbing gear and some other thing I haven't figured out yet.

 

After wandering around for an hour I of course started using the maps from gamefaqs. The backgrounds look very good, the monsters are varied and the muzak is more from the annoying kind again this time. You know, that standard NES fiddly beepedy-boop...

 

What's also a bit tedious is the instant monster respawn, so you're more busy with button mashing than anything else.

 

Still I had fun with it so far, looking forward to continue tomorrow
