joeybastard
I'll reserve judgement until I actually play it, but from the screens it looks like it might suffer from TMSOSAO* for me. *Too Much Shit On Screen At Once

I happened to be wearing this TShirt as well today. Edited August 2, 2008 by Chickybaby
Jess Ragan
Good grief, I actually have to agree with Atari5200 on this one. I don't like the "clogging the screen with obstructions" approach to game design... it makes games too chaotic and cluttered to enjoy. It's like the developers are trying to bring back the intensity of shooters like Robotron: 2084, but wind up taking things too far with a glut of enemies and distracting special effects. I call it "Jeff Minter syndrome."
liveinabin
I don't believe you can have too many things on screen at once. I think video games should confuse and distract
HammR25
Definitely too much stuff going on in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQwY9kPRTZY Edited August 2, 2008 by HammR25
Vic George 2K3
I'd say there IS AND SHOULD BE an upper limit as to how many things you can have going on a game screen before its "confusion and distraction" level makes game-playing well-nigh impossible. ubersaurus
Definitely too much stuff going on in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQwY9kPRTZY Watching that video, I just can't agree. What's all going on? Hordes of enemy patterns that you, you know, just shoot through? Outside of that there isn't much.
PressureCooker2600
It's not as bad as Geometry Wars 2. That shit gets so cluttered....I don't know where the hell I am...like a bad acid trip. (and it looks like one to)
Atari5200
geometry wars II is awesome. much better than the original. There's tons of things yes, but they don't make super blown out of proportion 3,400,500 color explosions everytime you shoot something
jbanes
Definitely too much stuff going on in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQwY9kPRTZY Meh. That's not Galaga. That's a bullet hell game (aka "curtain fire") with destructible bullets.
NE146
It's not as bad as Geometry Wars 2. That shit gets so cluttered....I don't know where the hell I am...like a bad acid trip. (and it looks like one to) I disagree.. Games like the Asteroids "remix" on xbox live, you cant see where you are during some explosions, which sucks! In games like Geometry Wars 2.. I ALWAYS know where I am. You're never really obscured. I think you just need to focus your eyes on your ship a little better
Atari5200
yep, I agree with that. I never really lose site of my ship. I think that is where the developers went right. Could they have made another fireworks on the screen display..yes, but they didn't and it works great for GW2.
