7800 S-Video

I followed the link in the 7800 mod thread and found the circuit for converting a 7800 to composite video and it looks really straight forward. A few of the posters in the thread indicated it would be easy to get S-video output (or have actually done this). Is there a schematic for that anywhere? I'd like to do a mod like this and S-vid seems like the more logical choice.

What is the link of the mod you were looking at? As far as I know there are only two sites with 7800 video mods and they both have composite and S-Video instructions.

Not only that...but unless I am mistaken I thought converting the signal to S-Video actually required making a small circuit that you had to plug into the video lines off the mainboard? For me I have everything else running composite and that is actually good enough for me.

 

Making a few soldering adjustments here and there...isn't a big deal...but when it requires some perf board and components being added...I am likely to blow something up.

That S-video mod on the resqsoft page is great. It's the one I use and recommend. The simpler ones just don't perform as well.
