Rick Weis
if you was smart, you would add 5 minutes if a late bid came in, ebay is not that smart enough for that, which don't surprise me! which BTW would mean you could MAKE MORE $$$ Rick

Thanks, Anthony I have a problem with the five minute rule. An auction can potentially go on forever. Besides, in an auction like JJ's, you have to actually put your highest bid possible and pay it (if you win) whereas in the ebay model (or chase the chuckwagon for that matter), your highest bid is hidden and you only pay slightly above the 2nd highest bidder. To be honest with you, if the five minute rule were to be put in a JJ like auction model, that would turn me off in bidding (I probably will not bid because I would be impatient with going on another five minutes with a last second bid). If you want to be fair with the bidding, I would just go through the ebay/chasewagon route....or even the JJ model but without the five minute rule......just my two cents.
