+atari2600land
What's your opinion on this game? Is it any good? Should I get it?
+Sauron
I actually haven't played the Lynx version, but the 7800 version is fun, if a bit repetitive with using the same two levels over and over.
the.golden.ax
What's your opinion on this game? Is it any good? Should I get it? Yes, if you like Mario style games with lots of hidden stuff, level warps, inventory of gadgets, and own the Atari Lynx this is the game for you! The Lynx version BTW blows the 7800 version OUT OF THE WATER. AX
DracIsBack
I actually haven't played the Lynx version, but the 7800 version is fun, if a bit repetitive with using the same two levels over and over. I think they were trying to follow the theme of the likes of the first MARIO and ALEX KIDD where the type of world is constant, but the obstacles change. The game goes Junkyard Level -> City Level -> Sewer Level in every world. At the end, there is a factory level before the final challenge. The Lynx version BTW blows the 7800 version OUT OF THE WATER. Can you be a bit more specific? I've not played it either, and am curious about what they did to expand the later Lynx version. TrekMD
The Lynx version has many more levels (forest, city, etc) than the 7800 games, better sound, better graphics etc. I have both versions and have played both. Both are fun but the Lynx version is far superior given how much more developed it is as a game.

Quite often in their history, they didn't do much. How many levels does the Lynx version have in total? I think there are 17 on the 7800. Gregory DG
^^ I think there are 8 worlds with 4 levels each (for a total of 32.) I played SD to death when I first got it. Definitely an under appreciated title on the Lynx.
+davidcalgary29
Just chiming in to agree with the comments above; SD may not be (technically) the best game on the Lynx, but I think it's the most fun. The levels, the puzzles, the easter eggs and powerups? Love. It.
DracIsBack
Does it have the same "special challenge" ending as on the 7800? God that ticked me off!
calfranklin
It was my uderstanding that this game was Atari's answer to Super Mario on NES. In comparison, this game falls short of that game. Serious Atari collectors (like myself) don't collect Atari games based on comparison, but love for the brand!
+atari2600land
Why did they make it impossible to clear this part of f***ing world 1-2?! At least I can beat Super Mario Bros.'s level 1-2. In fact, I can beat the whole Super Mario Bros. game!
