Alpine Games and other homevbrew titles

Where's a good place to buy Alpine Games, Championship Rally and other homebrew games at a decent price? I want to run a feature about them in Retro Gamer but obviously don't want to pay the earth.

Songbird Productions is where you'll find most of the homebrew games that have been released. You can find a few others at Video 61 and B&C. However, you typically have to pay the full retail price for homebrew releases, unless you purchase from eBay. Making homebrew carts costs some money, so you'll typically pay between $40 - $50 per title. It might be worth talking to the publishers and/or the homebrew authors if you're simply wanting to review the games.

Let's not forget that some "homebrew" titles were released as images only and have never had an official cart run, but have been subsequently burned onto carts by other enthusiasts, both privately and for general sale. These are sporadically available on e-Bay. Yastuna Vol 2: The Space Incident, and Yastuna Vol 1: The Alchemy of Cubes both fall into this category.
