per
The Lynx won't power up without a game inserted I've got games, and still doesn't work. Sure both the game and the console contacts are clean? If you still doesn't get it to work, try using a 9v DC (at least 300milliamp.) PSU adapter with - on the shield and + on the pin. If it then doesn't wanna powwer up with a game inserted, ask Karri (or sombody else with technical knowledge about the Lynx) for technical help. per
The on button is a bit stuck, do you think that has anything to do with it? Not at all. It seems stuck, but it is supposed to be like that. It's to prevent the unit from turning on when not used. Will this work? What voltage should i use? Use 9v make sure "+" get to "pin" (a diode prevent damadge to the system if you get it wrong, so don't be affraid to do the mistake in placing "-" on the "pin". However, the system do only start if you get it right). Edited August 19, 2008 by per

a8maestro
Hi, Since the other most likely causes have been mentioned, I'll add that the broken item that I have to fix most often is the power jack. 2 or 3 pins loose from the circuit board that have to be resoldered. Has fixed 2 dead lynxes for me. Rick D. P.S. Look in bright light at angles...if the backlight isn't working you may still see an image moving. I bought a lynx 2 off ebay. But when i put some batteries in it, it won't power on. What do i do? Edited August 29, 2008 by a8maestro
