chris_lynx1989
Are they frequent on Lynx I and 2? Not in my18 yrs of having had 6 or 7 Lynx units it isn't.The 'blinking pixel' glitch in the first Lynx 2 units in latter 1991 is the only similar problem I'm familiar with. The only other weakness was the RAM in the last Lynxes of 1992/3.Otherwise,from my experience the Lynx was a pretty durable and reliable little powerhouse of a beast.Much like my 3 PSP units have proved to be since 2005. Thanks for answer. My atari lynx 2 have a very little black dot on the screen. Don't know if it is a stuck or a dead pixel, but do you know if is it possible to fix it or if it can "revive" in the future using the console? +Sauron
A single dead pixel is a pretty common problem with Lynx II units. I've had several Lynx II systems that have had this problem, but all of them have been off near a corner of the screen and have never been an annoyance. Battlezone
Hi Sauron, yes, it is near a corner. My other Lynx 2 hasn't dead pixel but it has a very bright stucked pixel near the center of the screen. I prefer the unit with the dead pixel. Do you think that the one with dead pixel could have screen problems in the future?
chris_lynx1989
Have you looked closely at your 'spot' to see if it is only dust or lint on top of your LCD under your lens?It has been a problem with my 1s and 2s several times from use and just insertion or removal and storage in the pouch or kit case.IF it is dust, just pop your lens loose through the battery box access holes carefully. I don't think the dead pixel will have any bearing on possible future screen problems. I have owned several Lynx IIs with the dead pixel problem for years, and none of them have developed any problems.

Thanks for the idea, but I'm looking with a lens ... it doesn't seem to be dust. At the moment I don't wanna remove the clear lcd screen, because there is no dust under it. I'll wait!
