Battlezone
Rampart. Bought it new and sealed. I've opened the box and the cartridge, as often happens, was a little dirty. I've cleaned the contact with denaturated alcohol because I don't wanna insert a dirty cartridge in my Lynx, and I made it perfect! Put on Lynx and.... INSERT GAME! Tryed to clean it again but nothing to do, INSERT GAME. Finally I 've thrown it into the thrash. Several games passed by my hands, It is ... was! my first faulty Lynx game. +atari2600land
I've had that happen with a sealed Pit-Fighter before. And it kinda makes me angry when i put in a game and it says "Insert Game." I say "I already did!!"
the.golden.ax
Why do people throw things away when they don't work? I hear about this all the time. Someone somewhere want's your broken stuff. At least to try and figure out why it's broken, even if it is dead. AX
+Sauron
I have a copy of Scrapyard Dog that won't work, regardless of what I try. I refuse to toss it in the trash, though.
chris_lynx1989
I just had this happen myself in July with a sealed copy of Fat Bobby! It made my heart sink when I turned my Lynx on and got NOTHING.New and shiny contacts and all.Only game I've bought new that was ever bad right out of the box in 18 years! It's under warranty and Telegames shipped another from the UK.All is cool,I guess. the.golden.ax
Well, I'm more than happy to peel off your stickers, and try to find out why your games dont work AX
shadow460
Ain't much inside these carts from what I can tell, really. I don't plan on "opening" any up, but to me it would seem that there's nothing to really go bad in there besides the ROM. Seems like it's either dirty contacts or bad ROM, no solder joints to come loose. Heck, you can even see the board traces under the game stickers on mine.
