Battlezone
It's Chip's Challenge. No "insert game" this time. I insert the game in the cartridge slot but after few seconds it turns off the console. Edited September 24, 2008 by Battlezone

per
It's Chip's Challenge. No "insert game" this time. I insert the game in the cartridge slot but after few seconds it turn offs the console. I had the excact same problem. After I inserted the game a coupple of times (and after blowing at the cartridge slot, even though I don't know how smart THAT is), it worked for me. I don't know if it is the same problem, but the sympthoms are exactly the same.
eightbit
Try cleaning the contacts with isopropyl 91% alcohol and q-tips. I have had MANY titles exhibit this behavior, and this has always done the trick (sometimes multiple cleanings were needed however)

I tryed with denaturated alcohol, I usually clean contacts with it, but it didn't work this time.
the.golden.ax
I'd be happy to rip the label off and poke around inside it AX
