My second faulty game.

It's Chip's Challenge. No "insert game" this time. I insert the game in the cartridge slot but after few seconds it turns off the console.

It could be a failure in some bytes, when the Lynx decodes the first Blocks of the cart.

I had the excact same problem. After I inserted the game a coupple of times (and after blowing at the cartridge slot, even though I don't know how smart THAT is), it worked for me. I don't know if it is the same problem, but the sympthoms are exactly the same.

Try cleaning the contacts with isopropyl 91% alcohol and q-tips. I have had MANY titles exhibit this behavior, and this has always done the trick (sometimes multiple cleanings were needed however)

Same here. I used an old tooth brush and alcohol though.

I tryed with denaturated alcohol, I usually clean contacts with it, but it didn't work this time.
