Inky
I don't recall seeingthis anywhere, but did Zellers ever get into any trouble because of thier pirated Atari games?
Inky
Duh. I ask a stupid question like that and don't even search the 2600 archive here.. However, did Atari actually get any damages or actually file a lawsuit? Or did they just threaten them?
Lost Monkey
I can't see that there was any legal action over those games because as far as I remember, they just sat on the shelves for years (late 80's-early 90's) with the sticker prices gradually getting lower and lower until they were finally sold... I remember how I felt the first time I saw them - dirty.
Stella'sGhost
Sometimes when I'm in Zellers I go to the video-game section and I think I see a wall of atari games. No, its gameboy. Then I stare at the floor and cry like a little boy for about 10 minutes. Then I'm escorted out. The same thing happens every weekend.
