Came home from lunch yesterday and there were three messages on the answering machine. The first was from an old family friend, informing me that she had just seen three arcade games for sale at a local estate sale.

Couldn't tell you what the other two messages were. Didn't wait to find out.

Grabbed my keys, wallet and Mason and zoomed out the door. Got to the auction in minutes flat. There were three arcade games and one pinball machine to be auctioned. The two machines that caught my eye were the dedicated Centipede and the dedicated Ms. Pac-Man. The Centipede was turned on and working. The Ms. Pac-Man had an error on the screen, which told me it was 99% working. The third game was a Donkey Kong cabinet converted (poorly) into a Shinobi. (I already own two Shinobi machines; don't need a third.) The pinball machine was a clunker. It worked, some of the time. It needed a severe cleaning (at least).

There were a couple of other people sniffing around the games, but no collectors. For just under two bills, I took my babies home.

Now, the work begins. Again.
