+Random Terrain
Since when is a sex change a crime? Slicing off your winkie is always a crime. Well, to be correct, I should say that slicing your winkie into strips and stuffing it up inside of yourself is a crime. God made your penis an outtie so you can show it off to the world. "Look at my magnificent boner, everyone! Isn't it impressive?" Once you turn your outtie into an innie, you can no longer show it off and that's a crime. Plus, if the doctor screws up and you get an inverted boner, you could impale your pancreas. Tempest
Got this from the wiki.. gender identity disorder Is that what they are callling "a woman trapped in a man's body" these days? Interesting read considering I only knew about Daniel Bunten It's a real thing, I know of two people in my building who have gone through with it. I just find it interesting that five people in such a small group all had this problem. Maybe it's because they tend to be the creative types? There's probably a psychology paper in all of this somewhere... Tempest

Take my word for it. He didn't have a figure that you'd expect would make a good sex change candidate and he sounds like Professor Frink. He used to subscribe to the old Stellalist. I hope he doesn't read this thread. He'll probably send me some hate mail. Edited October 17, 2008 by mos6507

No she didnt, and yeah you're absolutely right, this is off topic,I'm responsible for that.I posted the sex change thing because,i found, for me anyway, that whenever one asks"what became of this game designer/programmer"more times than once or twice, they had a sex change.Just thought it was a true phenomenon worth mentioning,as so many game programmers have had a sex change and why is that.It belongs in another thread, thats for sure.Anyways SORRY for veering of topic folks:(

Game Master Brazil
Look up at Tempest's post. Steve Kitchen is there. -John Greetings Friends and Staff of the Atari Age: My nickname is Game Master, but my real name is Reinaldo Ferreira.I and my team OG: GERAÇÃO GAME ® & eQUIPE DE aMIGOS ® and GAME MASTER - MASTER GAMES ® Blog Brazil, we have developed some researchS on the life of Carol Shaw ( launched including in the Moby Games and Wikipedia). And we would be shared with friends, some of our work. Our team of Brazilians will try all means to develop a decent working, honest and quality similar to that developed in USA and our team is also trying to raise data on the history of video games in Brazil. Excuse me if I could not even create an English version of my work, but will be doing it soon. A gift of the team's Generation Game for the Atari Age and our American friends. http://gamemasterlist.blogspot.com/2008/10...view-carol.html
Game Master Brazil
...And I'm sorry for the bad writing and spelling errors. It is my first post in this forum and I'm a little nervous, but nevertheless it is an honor to be here. Greetings to Brazilian friend: Hélio Ferraz (Mr. Ferraz), which develops an important work on the Atari here and in our team. Our respect for him is all that we call the "Professor" Hélio. It is our highest authority on Atari.

8th lutz
Wish I knew how to read Portuguese! That page looks pretty comprehensive! ..Al Google was able to translate that site into English. It takes two steps to read the article in English. The first step is click on this link: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...t.com%26hl%3Den on the Arquivo do blogue section, it shows a link called Game Designers & Programmer’s Review Presents: Carol Shaw. The 2nd step is clicking on the Game Designers & Programmer’s Review Presents: Carol Shaw. You are able to read the article in English after doing the 2nd step. 2600Lives
No, you silly goose. Game design makes you want to be a woman. ................................................................... Game Master Brazil
Thanks by welcome Mr. Ferraz, and also from all the friends here from Board of Atari Age. As in Brazil is complicated to understand some texts in English. I think in USA is difficult to understand in our language. And it is complicated take a long text and use a translation tool (such as Google) and do a translation step by step. So I saw the satisfaction of creating an English version of the friends here for the Forum of Atari Age. It is my personal present to this team, we have provided so many brilliant work and a source of research on the Atari and its games. Here is the version in English for the Atari Age: http://gamemasterlist.blogspot.com/2008/10...ers-review.html But as we started this work in Brazil. We hope this is the starting point, so else, and even here in USA, may also be doing a similar job. Like the Atari Age and your team has a concern to keep alive today and the history of Atari in the world. That motivated our team of:GERAÇÃO GAME® & Equipe de Amigos ® to do the same. I'm not 100% satisfied with this work, for which many data were unclear. I took the liberty of sending a series of emails to the husband of Carol Shaw (Ralph C. Mekrle). And I am still hoping to get a response and update the data. Even now have a new e-mail with the version in English, with a new application. mos6507
That was a pretty detailed bio of Carol Shaw. You probably wouldn't get much more than that if you were to interview her. Good work.

Game Master Brazil
That was a pretty detailed bio of Carol Shaw. You probably wouldn't get much more than that if you were to interview her. Good work. Thanks for the words mos6507.But there are amny details that would be interesting to people discover it, for example: The transition period between:Tandem Computers and the Atari. The game programmind in videogames and the tools used for it and how Carol Shaw acquired this knowledge of game programming? Since the universities at that time did not have this expertise. (One question remains in the air: If Carol Shaw, began to learn game programming in Tandem Computers after having worked in this area in Atari. Is that the company had plans to enter the market for games such as Microsoft (MSX), C64 and Apple did years later?) Many developers talk about his experience with games, but few actually talk about their first contacts with the programming of games, and started and how and where the techniques learned. That I would have spent on work and research, out of work and come in a little personal aspect of the person behind the games, it is that I do understand. Game Master Brazil
Interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Never knew that Polo was on Brazilian VCS clones. Yes Rom Hunter, and the game Donald Duck's Speedboat (A.K.A in Brazil: A Lancha do Pato Donald) also came to be launched and even cataloged in our Brazilian version, closer to the original Atari VCS 2600 (Made by Polyvox). yuppicide
I would have wanted to work for ANY game company before the crash that made 2600 games. I think he was quoting David Lubar there. Moycon only wishes he worked at Activision (as do we all).Tempest
