Seeking a CLEAR Atari 7800 Prototype Set...

Hey -

 

I just want to put the word out there that I am trying desperately to hunt down one of the clear 7800 prototype sets featuring the clear system, joystick, and cartridge shell. I saw that there was one at CGE2K2 but I was not able to make it to the show :-(

 

I want to vastly expand the Atari 7800.com 7800 Museum and the addition of one of these units would be a tremendous leap for the effort. I know this isn't the ebay or marketplace forum, but I wanted to get the message out there as best I can.

 

If anybody has any serious info on finding one of these units, please email me or send me a private message.

The one you saw at CGE belonged to Dan Kramer, and I believe he said it was his last one. Can you believe it was only $300? And that was with a clear controller! I should have snapped that up...

Mitch - I certainly will do that. And if I dont find a spare, Ill be happy to provide you guys with high-resolution pictures and details so Atari Age can have the information on this jewel as well.

 

For me, a die-hard 7800 guy, this thing is the holy grail of 7800 items. I only know of about three or four in existance. If I would have known Dan Kramer had one for sale, I certainly would have topped the 300 he got for it.
