+atari2600land
One of my games needed cleaning, so when my mom went to the store, i told her to get rubbing alcohol. she comes back with 70% isopropyl. I've read somewhere that the best is somewhere above 90%. Would using this 70% stuff be ok or will it hurt the game? Probably not, but I just want to make sure. chris_lynx1989
I've ALWAYS used 70 or 91% Isopropyl Alcohol on my Lynx carts and others.Though NOW most are saying to use Hydrogen Peroxide on your gold card edge contacts. It is a judgement call now,I guess.I've used alcohol with no problems over the last some 20 yrs,I guess.I'm going to give the peroxide a try too to see which works any better or the same.I'll let you know. shadow460
70% should be fine. It's a staple in my game cleaning stuff.
Artlover
Yeah, nothing wrong with 70%. Just means it has a little more water in it then 91% does. No worries.
