Listen music while playing Atari using your TV speakers

If you own a Pocket device like an iPod or a PocketPC to store your music files you can listen to them while playing Atari and be in control of both using your TV remote. If your TV is stereo you can send the Game sounds trough one speaker and the music trough the second speaker, either left or right your choice. The catch is that the music must be in mono format, the Atari sounds are already sent out in mono format so there is no loss from the gaming angle, you can also use this method for modern consoles like the PlayStation if you set the Audio to Mono. All you need is a cheap cable with a Phono jack in one end and RCA male plugs, also if your Atari does not have the A/V mod you need to plug it trough a VCR to convert the RF signal to Audio/Video format.

Pros:

You can Control the Volume of both devices just using your TV remote.

You can Mute both at the same time if your phone rings.

You only need to spend $5 for the cable (Phono jack/RCA male).

No expensive Home Theater sound systems involved.

No more running around trying to mute the TV and your Sound system while your phone is ringing or someone is knocking at the door.

Cons:

If you have "golden-ears" you might miss the Stereo format.

Your TV must be stereo with RCA inputs.

You have to use a VCR to get A/V signals.

Just my 10 cents, my 2 cents are free. :D
