cimerians
Anyone try this? I like the ancient AITD games on the PC, this being vastly different of course and I heard that the PS3 version was "improved" but according to Metacritic.......maybe not enough. Some people say its worth a look though, anyone here have it\try it?

If this version is similar to the xbox360 version I bought a couple of years ago, I'd stay away from it....unless you're a collector and you find it in the bargain bin (under 20 bucks). I mean, it wasn't horrible, it just wasn't Alone In The Dark to me. It was a lot of mash the buttons in the right order at the right time or you die. As far as I know did the PS3 exclusive "Inferno" version address a lot of issues that were in the other versions of the game. Story, music, graphics and such should be the same though, they just made it more playable. The demo at least wasn't half bad, that's why I was wondering if someone gave it a try
cimerians
I bought it and I played a few hours into it about a year ago I think. It was pretty good, they did an overhaul on the PS3 version. Its different from the 360 version in terms of playability. I need to go back to it someday. These guys think it was a lot better than the 360 version as they can explain: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/aloneinthedark/review.html The PS3 version is a good buy if you can get it for cheap in my opinion. Cap5750
Just checked Gamestop, and they appear to have it used for 9.99.

Some people say its worth a look though, anyone here have it\try it? I have that one for the Wii. Some of the camera angles were bad and the motion control was a bit rough. Want to get that for the ps3(Inferno) bcuz I'd rather use the controller. I used to have AITD:One-Eyed Jack's Revenge for the Saturn and the camera angles were bad on that. Also had AITD: The New Nightmare for Dreamcast(miss that console) and really liked that one. Edited January 8, 2011 by Dennis V
