StanJr
I've got a copy of Dragon's Lair for the PC, but its like 10 years old. I tried to install it on my rather "new" computer, but the sound is all messed up and the controls are a little messed up. Are there any more modern releases, I think I bought this one back in 1992 or 1993 (back when "CD-ROM" was the latest greatest thing! ooooo!)? I really wanna play this thing again, but I can't seem to find an arcade machine for sale around here, and the PC version was pretty good (missing a few screens, but really good). Has there been a PC rerelease any time recently? Thanks Stan
Tempest
There's a new PC version coming out soon with some deleted scenes added (such as the little cyclops guys). I think it's due out in October some time. Tempest
DuckandCover
The new version looks like it's going to be pretty incredible. You can find out all about it here: Dragon's Lair 3D
Tempest
Yeah there's the 3D game that's coming out, but I'm talking about an update to the original. I forget what the heck they're going to call it, but it's basically a special edition of the arcade game. Tempest
lonesome_pa
If your computer has a DVD drive, you can play the DVD versions. I play mine either on the puter or on a DVD player and either one works great.
NE146
Stan.. I got a set of 2 cd's with the Daphne Emulator and the Dragons Lair video files with your name written on it. It plays the actual arcade game roms and pretty much rocks. See prvt..
StanJr
Wow! Thanks NE146! And thanks Tempest, if you find out the name of that new release, let me know, I'll look into it too! My girlfriend has never played DL, (yeah I know, she's on thin ice! ) and when I tried to load up my old one, it was a mess. I'd really like for her to experience it and hell I wanna play too! SOMEDAY I WILL own an arcade cabinet....sigh....
CaliColts
Are all the moves the same as the arcade version??? Not like I could remember them all. I do remember hating the Mud Monsters tho.
StanJr
In my old version, yes they were, as much as I can remember. But like I said it was missing a few screens (maybe as much as 25% of them).

AtariDude
You can obtain Dragon's Lair DVD from digital leisure. Their web site is: http://www.digitalleisure.com They also have Space Ace, Thayer's Quest (it goes by another name on the site) and several others. DuckandCover
I went poking around on Digital Leisure's website, and they have a CD-ROM version of Dragon's Lair that the press release indicates was released in 2001. Could this be the rerelease that's been mentioned? On the site, they refer to the game as "Dragon's Lair Arcade Authentic Version". You can order it direct from them for twenty dollars. There's also a 20th Anniversary box set that is about to be released, that includes DVD's of Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II, and Space Ace. AtariDude
I have the DVD versions of the 3 games from them. They look right although the moves are slightly different for some of the boards. You don't get the beep like the arcade used it but it is still fun to play. I especially like the interviews included with Don Bluth and the fact that Dragon's Lair II and Space Ace have a viewable option so that you can just watch the entire game from start to finish without any mistakes made. moycon
This is about the coolest site ever about laser games in general but in particular the Bluth games. Explore the site. There are movies some with the deleted scenes. Also have a forum for buying used laser games...very cool site. http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/
