Hey everyone, I just scored my first Lynx (model 2 in really good condition) with 4games

Kung Food

Blue Lightning

WarBirds

Zalor Mercenary

also got the carrying case, everything for under 38$

I've heard the first three games I listed are pretty good, but of course now begins the collecting.

I know people say good things about Batman Returns and Todds Adventure in Slime World, so I'll be looking to get those at some point.

I'm asking what are some other really good Lynx games worth looking into?

I'm open to all suggestions

thanx

I would say the last three games you listed are good, not the first three.

I suppose it depends on what game type you like (puzzle, fighting etc) as to what to start collecting.

I'd recommend:

Desert Strike

Checkered Flag

Road Blasters

Klax

Awesome Golf

California Games

Chips Challenge

Crystal Mines II

Dracula The Undead

Rampart

Robotron 2084

Xenophobe

Pinball Jam

Robo-Squash

Championship Rally

STUN Runner

The Lynx has a stellar line-up of games. Really, what you should be asking is what games to avoid: Kung Food, Pit-Fighter, etc.

Dracula is a great game and the only one of it's type on the Lynx. Yeah OK it's not really one you want to go back to after you complete it but first time round it's a fantastic game.

Also blockout is very addictive. You just have to give it a little time to learn it as it can become tricky if you don't pay attention or get confused by the 3D aspect.

I'd agree with Batman. Although it's worth a play if you have any one else with a Lynx, just so you get a feel for the game.

Turbo Sub is OK, I completed it a while back which was fun but again not something I really want to go back to.

Double Dragon I can't comment on as I've not got it yet.

I didn't say what you've attributed to me...

Although I agree - most of those games are poor. For example, Dracula's command interface is very awkward and cumbersome to use.

I have to disagree on Double Dragon and Casino. I consider Casino to be a major bore, and Double Dragon plays quite good (totally different from the crap Atari ST version, much closer to the arcade).

Batman Returns should be avoided - I've never seen such a stupid and brutally unfair unfair fighter game.

Both Pinball Jam tables are good, not just the Elvira table.

Checkered Flag is a top-notch racer on the Lynx (as opposed to the Jaguar game of the same title).

I think RoadBlasters has been in my Lynx so log that its fused in the slot.

When RoadBlasters is out, either STUN Runner, California Games, or Super Off-Road is in. Just a note about Super Off-Road, it's rare, expensive, and feels incomplete. It does, however, lack the insane difficulty of the Game Gear version, and it has different tracks, which make it the better of the two IMHO. If you can get past the shortcomings, Super Off Road is very playable.
