They did a really good job with making this game and not just making a rehash like 3 & 4. If you liked TM:2 then you will like this game. Plus, if you can get your hands on one of the force feedback wheels for the PS2, you won't be disappointed. There's no mention on the TMB packaging that it works with the wheel - but it does. It really takes the game to a higher level. BTW, if you pick up a network adaptor for your PS2, Sony will send you a free copy of TMB that can be used for online play.
