And you can get them pretty cheaply. The catch is that they were released at the first Atari Flashback, a standalone dedicated game machine, not as a NES cart. The games were ported to NES-compatible code as it was easier and cheaper to quickly port them to easily available NES clone hardware than to properly run the 2600 code on compatible hardware (as was eventually done with the Flashback 2.) Here's the games that it included: 2600: Adventure, Air-Sea Battle, Battlezone, Breakout, Canyon Bomber, Crystal Castles, Gravitar, Haunted House, Millipede, Saboteur, Sky Diver, Solaris, Sprintmaster, Warlords and Yar's Revenge 7800: Asteroids, Centipede, Desert Falcon, Food Fight, Planet Smashers Don't expect perfect (or even particularly good) ports. But if you really want to see what Atari games would like and sound like on NES hardware, this would be your best bet. Looks like they are selling for around 10 bucks on Ebay. Well if it is true that most atari flashbacks systems including the atari flashback 7 wich i do own now are just based on nes hardware, then that feels very misleading to me as i simply would expect those roms to be original atari 2600 roms on emulated or cloned atari 2600 hardware and not just replicated versions of those roms on nes hardware, yes i know but hardware systems were similar to each other apart from the video chips, but still,,,, am mean just imagine you buy a mastersystem mini with tons of games on it but you will later find out that those games were just ported as accurate as possible to a genesis based hardware system, then the original feel goes away,it feels like to be faked, that’s like coming with a 8bit console with faked 16bit games on it by using all hardware pushing tricks to fake 16bit graphics & sound and sell it as a 16bit system to cover it all up, i just don’t get it. All the others do use 2600 roms and either Atari-on-chip hardware or emulation.
