TheRogue
Hi. I seem to have a problem with some Polish software and demos, but not with most software. I'm not sure if my GTIA is bad, or it is just an issue with running PAL software on an NTSC machine. Sometimes the screen will flicker, like the picture will almost bounce down about an inch and then return to it's normal position very fast. Sometimes this seems to happen in time to the beat of the music, other times it's random. Also, sometimes parts or all of a sprite with be replaced with strange looking garbage. Like I said, this only seems to happen on european demos and games. Also, the computer passes the GTIA test mentioned in another post where you run a simple basic program to produce a gradient on the screen. Should I replace the GTIA or is this just a region issue? candle
possibly player running at NMI (vertical blank) is consuming too much time and ntsc system having much less clock cycles per frame/line is loosing its sync replacing gtia won't change a thing
