Failed Double Clicks - Help Me Remember the Fix

Recommended Posts

I need some help remembering the name of a utility that helped to recognize double clicks even when your mouse moves a little bit between clicks. Normal behavior is that the mouse must remain perfectly still to double-click, but there was a utility that made the mouse more tolerant of a jiitery hand. Anyone remember? I'm using Steem on a laptop and doing a double tap on my thumb pad is recognized only one third of the time.

You've probably already tried this - but have you incresed the mouse click time in the Control Panel? Not sure if that would help

or not, but its a thought...

It's not a matter click speed, but rather the mouse location when the second click occurs. By default, in order for the double click to be recognized (I believe, from experimentation) the mouse x,y location of the second click has to match the mouse x,y location of the first click. If your hand (or in my case, thumb) moves a little between clicks then the double click event does not occur, you just get two single clicks instead.
