GroovyBee
My, that would be fun to play on a real 7800 ... I often do on mine . Hopefully I'll get a demo level out this week.
GroovyBee
And as if by magic here it is! 7800Birthday_11_06_06.1.13.a787800Birthday_11_06_06.1.13.bin For CC2 users its a 32K image and doesn't need any extra RAM. The bugs... The colours are shot in PAL. The scrolling could be smoother. Vertical scrolling has "jitter" sometimes. Theres collision detection problems. You can't die . ..... Its probably not worth reporting bugs at the moment. I know it has lots . Its just a release to prove that its not vapourware. I also had to cut down the active screen display . MARIA's 160B is hell full screen. I really must document the 160B MARIA "features" sometime. Anyways... Have fun!

DracIsBack
Wow - just finally got this game onto my CC2 (long story). Looks fantastic, Mark! Love the art direction. Can't wait to see what you do with it and also if you ever get your adventure game going ... Great work The character and the maze navigation reminds me a little of a CoCo game I once loved called A Mazing World Of Malcolm Mortar. http://nitros9.lcurtisboyle.com/malcommortar.html Edited June 14, 2009 by DracIsBack
GroovyBee
Thanks for the compliments so far. Hopefully I'll get around to fixing the most obvious bugs this week. Not all play mechanics are in place in this demo. There's still more to come . Would any people that are interested in creating some levels for the game drop me a PM? GroovyBee
Latest release :- 7800Birthday_18_06_09.1.14.a787800Birthday_18_06_09.1.14.bin Whats new :- - Version number on title page. - Added placeholder sub pages to the title page menu. - Scrolling is much smoother in all directions. - Fixed scrolling "jitter" bug. - Real PAL palette. - Implemented PAUSE game (RESET takes you back to the title page menu). Still to fix :- - Collision detection bugs. - Random apple appearing bug. Still to add :- - Loads . GroovyBee
How about just 'Miner'... Is that taken? Nothing with that name in the 2600, 7800 or 5200 AA databases. Probably a bit too close to Miner 2049er tho. I'll add it to the list as well.
