How do you open up a Lynx II?

I just bought a Lynx II at a yard sale for $20. It came with a carrying pouch and eight games. It is in good condition except the the volume wheel has fallen inside the system. Is this an easy fix?

 

I am not very technical so I don't want to mess anything up trying to fix it. Is there anything I should know before I attempt this repair or should I just leave it alone? It kinda sucks playing it with no sound.

Easy to take apart just be carfully and don't force anything. The screws are located behind the rubber grips, and there's also one in the battery compartment. I can't really remember how the volume control disc fixes on but I'm sure someone here does.

If I remember correctly, there's a rather tiny screw holding the wheel, and if that fell off, it'll need some effort to find a fitting one (asking a watchmaker might perhaps lead to success).

 

Other than that: yes, the Lynx II is rather easy to take apart and to re-assemble, even without instructions.
