5200 controllers

Is there a way to start a loaded 5200game without controller? Ive tried cleaning controller, put a new rev9 flexboard no help..can you hot wire the pins momentarily to create the "start game" command...my console puts up a normal image on tv but cant get game to start..even new trackball conrtoller no help..all connections look normal at controller jack number 1 ..hope nothing fried on board...help thx

This should work for you.

 

Facing the front of the 5200 port 1-

P1 0000000 / P8

-P9 0000000/ P15

 

 

You can make that out right,

 

Touch pins 4 & 7 with a small jumper wire.

If all is fine with your 5200, the game will start.

 

Inside the controller- cross/jumper

Wires- [P4]wht/org & [P7]wht/red

I find piercing both wires with small

safety pins then touching them together

works well for me ? Or whatevers handy !

thanks for reply tried thatthe other day so i may have deeper problems anyone know the component that these controller inputs goto and is it replaceable??
