Ridenmy65
I found this cart today. Label variation I had never seen and it is not listed here at AA. Thought everyone would like to see it. Angelo
CrazyImpmon
I've never seen that one either. All picture label I've seen had black, silver, or red background.
Inky
A pirate copy perhaps?
the 5th ghost
I've seen that version too. As a matter of fact I've passed on it at the local flea market many times, just wasn't interested enough I guess. It's probably still there, I'll check this weekend and let you know if I get it Doug
Ridenmy65
Doesn't look like a pirate to me. Sorry the pic is so bad. Crappy digital camera. I am a label freak. I get keep every label variation. I think it's pretty cool finding little differences. Angelo
+Mitch
It's an official Atari version. Check here. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
MattyXB
I think I have hear from this too. Maybe on Tempest old site about the lable variations. But I wonder me, that I didn't have found it here when I enter Breakout in the search field. Only the other black picture lable will be seen. The other can't be find by that way. MegaManFan
It's an official Atari version. Check here. Mitchhttp://atari7800.atari.org The box and cart on that page don't match. The box says © 1978 and the cart says © 1986. On the other hand, I own a Super Breakout that says © 1987 so maybe they just released carts with new copyright labels in the same ol' style boxes? HeckifIknow.
Heavy Sixer
Yes, this is an official Atari release. In 1986, as part of its 2600 revival (with the 2600 Jr.), Atari re-released a number of its old games. Many of these can be found with 1986, 87, or 88 copyrights. The orange Breakout (I have one) was released in 1986, and seems to have been produced only for a short time. Similarly, there were also blue defender carts made that year.
