Label Variation for Breakout I have never seen

I think I have hear from this too. Maybe on Tempest old site about the lable variations.

 

But I wonder me, that I didn't have found it here when I enter Breakout in the search field. Only the other black picture lable will be seen. The other can't be find by that way. :?

The box and cart on that page don't match. The box says © 1978 and the cart says © 1986. On the other hand, I own a Super Breakout that says © 1987 so maybe they just released carts with new copyright labels in the same ol' style boxes? HeckifIknow.

Yes, this is an official Atari release. In 1986, as part of its 2600 revival (with the 2600 Jr.), Atari re-released a number of its old games. Many of these can be found with 1986, 87, or 88 copyrights. The orange Breakout (I have one) was released in 1986, and seems to have been produced only for a short time. Similarly, there were also blue defender carts made that year.
