Synthpopalooza
Hey everyone ... I've been on this forum for about a month or two now (I suppose) ... mainly because I have ben catching the old Atari 8-bit programming bug again thanks to tinkering around with an emulator called Atari800Win ... and discovering a game called Yoomp! and being surprised at what was still being programmed on my favorite computer from childhood! So I thought I would reintroduce myself and say hello. I am a longtime Atari user from the USA, have been using them since the 80's, starting out with a 600XL in 1984 and eventually moving on to an Atari ST in later years. Most recently, I have released an album under my project name Synthetik FM. This is a synthpop music project, drawing inspiration from 1980's electronic and new wave music, and featuring collaborations with musicians from all over the world. My current release is e=mc² which features 15 tracks of pure synthpop. It is released on the American label Ninthwave Records, which is also the American home to the classic 80's bands Heaven 17 and NASA. All the music on this album was sequenced on an Atari 1040ST. If you are interested, you are all invited to visit these links: http://www.synthetikfm.com http://www.myspace.com/synthetikfm http://www.ninthwaverecords.com It is great to see the Atari scene still going strong!
