Noelio
Title should read BAD TOS... LOL! Hi friends, Just got a nice deal on a non working Falcon. I've only tried the TV out (no vga adapter yet.) When I power it up I get: -Black / White rolling bars of static. -No Drive light. -No power light. -Fan does turn on and spin fine. -Drive does its seek and spin routine. From your experiences, am I most likely looking at a bad TOS rom (4.04) or a bad power supply? As far as I've gathered online a toasted TOS rom could cause this. Thoughts? Noelio
Title should read BAD TOS... LOL! check your power supply voltages Thanks for the reply. Will do! I should have thought about it more before I posted. Little did I realize there's multiple voltages at work. Will post with the result. Noelio
I'm getting: 11 or so volts on the blue (when plugged into the board) 5 - 7 when unplugged from the board 5 volts on the red Seems fine. Next step is the TOS chip I take it.
