cubsrule
i downloaded the 5200 bios rom and put it in the same directory. Then i renamed it 5200.bin. and the cwsdpmi.exe file is already in there. I put all the roms in the folder too. When i click on the 5200.exe, the dos prompt flashes and goes away. Does anyone know what im doing wrong. I got a game to work by going to a regular dos prompt and going all the way to where that folder was, and the game worked perfect. But i dont want to go through all that everytime i play a game. Thanks again in advance for any help
+Cafeman
If you are talking about Virtual Super System (VSS), I believe you DO in fact have to open a DOS window, go to the directory, and run it that way. There was a front-end program once, I don't know if it still works with VSS or not.
oesii
There's a frontend for the VSS, I haven't used it in a year but you can try it out here: http://www.zophar.net/frontends/a5200.html I mainly use Atari800Win+ for my 5200 emulation these days. Inky
VSS is by far the best emu. I keep forgetting I have it, mainly because its command line. I should DL that frontend...
Voltman3
Is the above FEnd the same as this 1 ? http://www.atarihq.com/5200/index.html I like "Reagle Beagle 2000" for "VSS" - it's very easy to use too. Later,
